Citroen has launched the updated 2026 eC3X electric compact SUV in India, introducing a series of upgrades aimed at improving the electric hatchback’s appeal.

Visually, the eC3X receives subtle but noticeable updates. The front fascia now features projector LED headlamps, while new 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels add a fresher look to the side profile.

Citroen has also equipped the EV with electrically adjustable and foldable outside rear-view mirrors. Signature styling elements such as the V-shaped LED daytime running lights, black body cladding, LED tail lamps, and rugged crossover-inspired design remain unchanged.

Inside, the dashboard layout has been retained, but the cabin now adopts a new dual-tone blue-and-beige theme that gives it a more upmarket appearance. Higher variants also benefit from leatherette seat upholstery, replacing the fabric seats offered previously.

A new 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster further modernizes the interior, complementing the existing 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

Citroen has expanded the feature list with the addition of a wireless smartphone charger, an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror, and an upgraded Connected Car suite offering more than 40 connected functions.

Buyers can also opt for a six-speaker JBL audio system and front and rear dashcams as accessories. The dashcam package adds functions such as lane departure warning, front vehicle distance alerts, and pedestrian warning.

Safety equipment has also been enhanced. The range-topping variant now comes equipped with six airbags, while lower trims receive four airbags.

Other safety features include ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child-seat anchors, rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, speed-sensitive door locks, and high-speed alerts.

The company claims the eC3X can accelerate from 0 to 60km/h in 6.8 seconds and achieve a top speed of 107km/h. Charging options include both AC and DC charging.

Using an AC charger, the battery can be replenished from 10 to 100 percent in approximately 10 hours and 30 minutes, while a DC fast charger can charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 57 minutes.
